BREXIT UPDATE.

BREXIT 1ST JANUARY 2021 is fast approaching just over a couple of months away now have you started your preparations for the implementation of customs documentation upon IMPORT and EXPORT into and from the UK.

Choosing a Customs Clearance Agent

Have you decided your agent to represent yourselves? we at Cargo Flow Agency can act as your direct representative for all Import and Export clearances.

Arranging EORI Number

Have you arranged your EORI number? This will be required by all traders moving all goods into and outside the UK.

Brexit Customs Clearance Checklist

All commercial invoices must be completed with certain declarations and information

  • INCOTERMS
  • CUSTOMS TARIFF NUMBER
  • ORIGIN OF GOODS DECLARATION
  • FULL DESCRIPTION GOODS
  • NETT WEIGHT
  • TOTAL NUMBER PACKAGES
  • INVOICE VALUE OF GOODS FOR CUSTOMS & CURRENCY
  • IMPORTER & EXPORTER DETAILS
  • DETAILS OF ANY LICENCES OR CERTIFICATES IF REQUIRED.

 

Copy of the commercial invoice must be sent to an agent as soon as possible after loading as any declarations must be pre-lodged to customs before arrival port EXPORT or IMPORT.

Will you be using the new CFSP-EIDR IMPORT ONLY system (Customs Freight Simplified Procedure – Entry in Declarants Records) 6 months to present the import entry and pay any duty due (if applicable ?) before 1st July 2021 but importers must keep stringent records of all arrivals and provide guarantees/securities to HMRC(AUTHORISATION REQUIRED!). From 1st July 2021 full import customs clearance formalities will apply.   

All exports will require full documentation from 1st January 2021.
